This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Strategically plan our calendar well in advance by identifying key events to attend and eliminating those that are not beneficial.
β’ Manage the logistics of events from start to finish, including budgeting, booth arrangements, meeting room bookings, promotional materials, staffing, and follow-up activities.
β’ Organize and host meetups and dinners, overseeing all logistics for both external and internal gatherings.
β’ Establish a set of quantitative and qualitative objectives for our events.
β’ Collaborate with designers to create booths, promotional items, and other event materials.
β’ Work closely with our tight-knit growth team to ensure cohesive efforts.
β’ Operator β capable of executing a 16-person dinner and a 512-person happy hour with equal precision.
β’ Numerate β able to present quantifiable results from our events.
β’ Taste β possess strong opinions regarding brand identity, copywriting, and partnerships.
β’ Scrappy β prefer to secure the venue today rather than wait for the ideal plan.
β’ Networked β familiar with the venues and vendors that contribute to successful events.
β’ Independent β adept at resolving issues without needing direction.
β’ Nice to have: previous experience selling to engineers and understanding why many engineers dislike marketing tactics.
β’ Have organized memorable parties that continue to be talked about.
β’ Significant travel expectations (~50% of time spent on the road if outside of NY/SF)
