Field Engineer in Training – Power Generation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Combine fieldwork with analytical engineering tasks conducted from a home office.

• Evaluate field data, create and enhance test plans, and prepare for field operations.

• Develop mathematical models, execute simulations, and document technical findings.

• Oversee generation resources through scheduled tests at power generation sites.

• Collect high-quality data for analysis and ensure the reliability and performance of bulk power system resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Undergraduate-level knowledge of power generation principles.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the year for field activities.

• Knowledge of control theory, with experience in MATLAB/Simulink or similar software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

• Must be authorized to work in Canada, able to pass a background check, lift up to 50 pounds, and have a valid driver's license.
