Field Automation Engineer, French Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire Onboarding process—from initiation to a secure, fully operational Infrahub deployment—then expand with further use cases.

• Manage a select group of customer accounts: schedule monthly engagements, conduct structured rituals, and serve as a reliable technical partner throughout the year.

• Provide technical assistance: assess, investigate, reproduce issues, and escalate to Engineering; maintain clear communication with customers at all times.

• Facilitate technical discovery and advisory services: evaluate environments and maturity levels; guide schema design, integration patterns, and architecture to enhance adoption.

• Advocate for adoption and growth: identify and develop new use cases; empower internal customer advocates; co-present in demonstrations and executive briefings—often with French-speaking stakeholder groups.

• Develop reusable engineering assets—schema templates, integration patterns, deployment scripts, and shared tools—that enhance quality across customer engagements.

• Leverage AI as a daily enhancer: codify prompts, patterns, and agent workflows that expedite discovery, documentation, and delivery; contribute to our internal AI framework.

• Create and refine documentation and customer evidence (guides, how-tos, reference architectures, case studies) in both French and English; represent OpsMill at webinars, events, and panels; incorporate recurring field patterns into Product and support the SA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network or infrastructure engineering and/or network automation, with practical experience in production environments.

• Proficient in Python and one or more of NetBox, Nautobot, Ansible, Nornir, Terraform; comfortable working with APIs, data models/schemas, and GraphQL (Infrahub knowledge is a plus).

• Native/fluent in French and strong professional proficiency in English; capable of leading workshops, writing technical documentation, and presenting to executives in French.

• Demonstrated customer-facing skills: engage deeply with engineers and translate for executives; convey challenging messages while maintaining trust.

• Strong inclination towards action: create scripts, validate them, and implement solutions; systematic troubleshooting and practical engineering judgment.

• Proactive management across a small portfolio: prioritize, plan, and uphold technical health and adoption results.

• AI-enthusiastic work style: daily integration of AI to boost discovery, delivery, and documentation—with a passion for teaching others effective methods.
