Field Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Leverages technical expertise in Silvaco product offerings and a fundamental understanding of customers’ technical workflows and objectives to guide customers in their simulation endeavors and resolve their technical challenges.

• Partners closely with key clients to gain insights into their technical strategies and immediate issues, allowing for the recommendation of the most suitable solutions that Silvaco provides.

• Comprehends customers’ success metrics and collaboratively establishes evaluation plans to showcase and validate Silvaco’s solutions.

• Contributes to sales strategies and proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness while enhancing Silvaco’s technical differentiation.

• Creates technical documentation that aids in clarifying the technology and unique features of Silvaco solutions.

• Offers training and guidance to customers to facilitate their adoption and usage of Silvaco tools, while gaining deeper insights into the customers’ applications.

• Works alongside customers’ implementation teams to diagnose issues, devise solutions, and suggest additional features, modules, and/or products based on customer specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, Solid State Physics, or a related semiconductor academic discipline.

• 0-3 years of relevant industry experience.

• Must exhibit a solid understanding or experience in semiconductor manufacturing, R&D, and/or integrated circuit design processes.

• Must demonstrate proficiency in design, modeling, and/or simulation tool usage as part of academic studies, applied research, or industry work experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and possesses creative problem-solving capabilities.

• Persistence in tracking complex issues and projects with minimal supervision.

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and deliver projects punctually and within budget constraints.

• Experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.

• Background in international and remote team collaboration is preferred.
