Field Application Engineer – FAE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead design-in and design-win initiatives with ODM and data center clients.

• Act as a trusted technical consultant for customer engineering teams, shaping system architecture and connector choices.

• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Signal Integrity teams to provide optimized interconnect solutions.

• Assist in the integration and troubleshooting of connectors, cables, and high-speed interconnect systems.

• Identify and cultivate new application opportunities that align with customer roadmaps and emerging technologies.

• Convert customer feedback into insights that impact product development and long-term strategy.

• Create technical documentation and application notes to facilitate customer adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.

• Experience engaging with customers, internal stakeholders, or cross-functional teams.

• Capable of managing multiple priorities and working independently in a field-based position.

• Experience with at least one of the following: connectors or cable assemblies, power or electronic components, high-speed interconnects or signal transmission, semiconductor or electronic systems.

• Over 5 years of experience in the electronics industry, such as application engineering, design engineering, product engineering, or a similar role.

• Experience supporting datacom, data center, or hyperscale customers.

• Knowledge of high-speed interconnects (copper or fiber).

• Understanding of signal integrity or system-level design considerations.

• Proficient in using CAD tools.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes for connectors, cables, or electronic components.

• Experience applying structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., root cause analysis, SPC).
