Field Application Engineer

📋 Description

• Deliver direct assistance to Global customers, particularly those within the designated region.

• Aid in the development and troubleshooting of products utilizing Ambiq ultra-low power solutions.

• Support all facets of the customer design-in process.

• Assist customers with hardware and software development until full production is achieved.

• Collaborate closely with Ambiq sales teams to facilitate customer design-in initiatives.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on low power design, guiding customers on how to optimize power consumption at the system level.

• Conduct design reviews for customer schematics and PCB layouts.

• Help customers effectively use Ambiq MCU software development tools.

• Assist in the bring-up and debugging of customer designs, encompassing software, hardware, and overall system functionality.

• Relay customer feedback to both marketing and engineering teams.

• Evaluate customer software and hardware design specifications.

• Promote emerging technologies and provide training to empower the sales team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in a Field Applications Engineering position within the semiconductor sector.

• Significant experience in visiting, presenting to, and collaborating with customers.

• Proficient in embedded 32-bit MCU software and hardware is essential.

• Familiarity with Cortex-M ARM-based microcontrollers is highly sought after.

• Proven experience in debugging common embedded MCU hardware and software problems.

• Knowledge of supporting and designing with low-power radios (BLE, BT Classic, 802.15.4) is advantageous.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or a related field) is mandatory; candidates lacking a degree must possess at least 10 years of directly relevant professional experience.
