Applications Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design and development of single-use solutions for the Fluid Management sector.

• Evaluate customer and internal designs, creating assemblies from concept to final product using both standard and custom components.

• Work collaboratively with commercial partners to convert customer requirements into successful product solutions.

• Oversee raw material selection and develop product designs, cost estimates, and customer quotes.

• Aid in product setup and lifecycle management within SAP ERP, including Item Masters, BOMs, routings, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

• Keep technical documentation up to date and participate in occasional travel (<10%) as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with over 1 year of experience in bioprocess single-use product design, or more than 2 years of experience in bioprocess single-use product design or manufacturing.

• Practical experience with fluid management assemblies and single-use systems is advantageous.

• Competence in AutoCAD; familiarity with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and PDM systems is preferred.

• Capability to create precise product drawings, manufacturing instructions, and technical documentation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems and quality management tools is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across commercial, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

• Proven organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a results-oriented mindset.
