Senior Field Application Engineer

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical expert on GPU and networking products, providing support to manufacturing, quality, and failure analysis teams to enhance product reliability and yield.

• Proactively build and maintain technical relationships with internal engineering teams, manufacturing partners, and quality assurance teams.

• Identify system failure modes, manufacturing risks, and product requirements to facilitate corrective actions and design/process enhancements.

• Regular on-site presence in labs or manufacturing facilities to diagnose, reproduce, and resolve hardware and system-level failures.

• Oversee the product lifecycle from New Product Introduction (NPI) through high-volume manufacturing and field returns, ensuring quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.

• Create failure analysis methodologies, test strategies, and diagnostic tools for hardware validation.

• Deliver technical training and documentation to manufacturing, testing, and quality teams regarding failure modes and debugging techniques.

• Establish effective communication channels and collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams (design, validation, manufacturing, and quality) to drive issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in the high-tech electronics sector, specifically in manufacturing, failure analysis, validation, or hardware debugging roles.

• Strong capability to manage multiple failure investigations, escalations, and yield enhancement initiatives.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong time management and organizational abilities for coordinating complex failure analysis and cross-functional investigations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the capacity to clearly present failure analysis findings and collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams and management.
