• Recognize and comprehend genuine customer needs, providing highly tailored VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) and Motor application solutions that align with both technical specifications and business objectives.
• Mentor and guide fellow members of the Application Engineering team.
• Clearly and effectively communicate and present solutions to a variety of audiences.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, feeder manufacturers, quotation teams, etc.) to enhance impact and influence during the sales process.
• Establish the organization as the regional knowledge center for ABB Motion High Power Division products and their applications.
• Share knowledge by training internal teams, external partners, and channel representatives.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with over 10 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing engineering role.
• Extensive knowledge and insights into Low Voltage and Medium Voltage VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), motors, and industrial fieldbus systems, among others.
• Previous formal mentorship experience with application/sales engineers.
• Proven ability to cultivate relationships with a variety of technical and commercial audiences, including decision-makers.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at making complex technical concepts easy to understand.
• Adaptable in communication style to suit diverse audiences and settings.
• Highly self-driven with a demonstrated capacity for identifying and resolving complex issues.
• This position requires domestic travel and some international travel—approximately 30%, necessitating a valid US Driver’s License and US Passport.
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to be employed by ABB in the US.
