Lead Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical liaison for strategic clients, offering extensive application support for the Aries, Scorpio, and Leo product lines.

• Facilitate board design evaluations, schematic assessments, and system-level debugging sessions in collaboration with customer hardware and system development teams.

• Provide tailored technical presentations, training sessions, and product demonstrations that align with customer architectures and specific use cases.

• Oversee hands-on debugging of PCIe, Ethernet, and CXL/DDR memory connectivity challenges in customer server and rack-scale environments.

• Work closely with internal silicon, firmware, and applications engineering teams to address field issues and carry out root cause analysis.

• Create and update application notes, reference designs, and technical documentation based on insights gained from the field.

• Gather and convey customer needs, competitive insights, and trends in system architecture to product management and engineering teams.

• Advocate for customer perspectives in internal roadmap discussions, contributing to the development of next-generation connectivity solutions.

• Discover new use cases and growth opportunities within current accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in server hardware design, cloud system development (SysDev), or field application engineering.

• Practical experience with the PCIe protocol/physical layer, including signal integrity fundamentals, link training, and debugging.

• Familiarity with DDR memory subsystems and memory interface design or validation.

• A self-motivated approach with the capability to work autonomously and manage customer engagements with little oversight.

• Availability to travel up to 40-50% to customer locations.
