This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Offer Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Value (DFV) assistance to customer engineering and design teams for both new projects and enhancements to existing designs.
• Shorten the design cycle time for customers.
• Work alongside customer designers to enhance the quality and thoroughness of design submissions.
• Detect design issues related to manufacturability and reliability testing.
• Support drawing evaluations prior to design approval and draft notes for design and manufacturing requirements.
• Update customer design and manufacturing teams on TTM capabilities and the technology roadmap via formal presentations.
• Provide insights to TTM manufacturing facilities regarding future customer demands and technological needs.
• Recognize gaps in TTM’s capacity to meet future customer requirements.
• Coordinate customer technical requirements with TTM engineering and operations teams.
• Assist TTM pre-production teams during the stack-up/DFM/TQ approval process.
• Promptly address on-hold issues on the customer’s side.
• Establish technical relationships between customers and TTM.
• Aid Sales Account Managers in boosting customer revenue through technical support and services.
• Travel to customer locations to assist with technical discussions, issues, and critical programs as necessary.
• Develop and deliver technical capability presentations in collaboration with the sales team.
• Regularly interact with TTM Sales, Development, Pre-Production Engineering, and Operations departments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• 5-7+ years of experience in engineering tasks related to PCB manufacturing is preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in using PCB CAM software.
• Skills in interpreting drawings and blueprints.
• Experience utilizing PCB stack-up tools.
• Familiarity with electrical design performance and signal integrity, including impedance, RF, and insertion loss.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Extensive knowledge of IPC industry specifications and customer-developed specifications.
• Strong background in printed circuit engineering.
• Comprehensive understanding of the PCB manufacturing process, including process flows, individual processing steps, and pre-production tooling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective public speaking and presentation abilities.
• Capability to establish customer connections and foster relationships.
• Ability to make routine decisions with general guidance.
• Self-driven and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel to customer meetings and TTM North American locations up to 25% of the time.
• Must adhere to TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures as well as applicable ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations.
• Must identify ITAR products and understand that access to related products and technical data is restricted to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
• Must recognize foreign visitors and follow authorization procedures for their access to facilities.
• Must understand export requirements for shipments leaving the US and manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
