Field Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage the complete adjustment of claims independently, which includes gathering and assessing loss details, reviewing insurance policy conditions, suggesting coverage options, and issuing payments within authorized limits.

• Reach out to policyholders to arrange and perform prompt inspections of damaged properties.

• Capture photographs, create sketches, and assess all damages, including areas that are not damaged.

• Draft correspondence related to claims and keep policyholders informed throughout the investigation process.

• Establish the approach and depth of investigation required for each claim.

• Engage outside experts or investigators when necessary.

• Evaluate investigative and claim-related materials to ascertain loss details.

• Conduct interviews with policyholders and witnesses.

• Record all investigative actions in the claim files.

• Analyze policies to determine coverage and assess coverage recommendations.

• Ascertain the total value of claims.

• Request and issue claim checks/payments within authorized limits; recommend payments that exceed authority levels.

• Address inquiries promptly.

• Utilize various software applications to establish loss parameters.

• When assisting a Desk Adjuster, communicate issues and the need for experts, submit reserve recommendations within 48 hours of inspection, email reports/estimates to the home office, and assist with pricing or technical concerns.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Xactimate 25 or newer.

• Effective skills in oral and written communication, organization, and analysis.

• Robust computer skills and ability to perform well under pressure.

• Interpersonal abilities to build relationships with policyholders and within the organization.

• Hold a valid Florida 520 License.

• Strong skills in computer usage and data entry.

• Maintain a professional company image with appropriate attire (shirt, badge) and vehicle maintenance.
