
Field Account Manager – Foodservice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate closely with the Account Executive and Division Manager to openly explore new business prospects. These prospects may encompass new product launches, penetration of existing lines, identifying slow-moving items, conversions, competitive analysis, marketing initiatives, user retention strategies, reports on lost customers, coupon strategies, and assessing successes and challenges.
• Grasp the nuances of the client’s business and leverage that understanding to drive new business sales.
• Create and execute strategic sales plans, along with promotional planning and activities.
• Maintain an extensive network of industry contacts and earn the respect and loyalty of the Sales management team, VP of Sales, and Distributor Account Managers.
• Timely follow-ups, prompt responses, and sales achievements will foster ongoing opportunities.
• With the support of the Account Executive, maintain stock status sheets for each of our principals and communicate any usage changes, whether positive or negative.
• Coordinate and facilitate sales calls and meetings, ensuring they are productive for lead generation and follow-ups on previous opportunities.
• Assist the Account Executive in planning and executing food shows.
• Provide results on an “as needed basis” and update manufacturers regularly upon request.
• Engage with our principals, sharing both successes and challenges.
• Address quality control issues and understand the Principals' processes for resolution.
• Participate in principal work visits and prepare an itinerary at least a week in advance.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience in the industry is required.
• A minimum of 2 years in the Foodservice industry, ideally as a broker representative or distributor representative, or equivalent education is required.
• Must have the ability to forge strong client relationships.
• Capable of analyzing and implementing Acosta’s sales and marketing strategies.
• A team player with the capability to work independently.
• Demonstrated self-motivation and a passion for achieving results.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport.
• A positive, professional, and proactive demeanor.
• Strong organizational, execution, timely response, and follow-through abilities.
• Advanced knowledge of the Intelligency CRM System.
