This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, delivering account management support to healthcare professionals and their teams on behalf of patients prescribed the product.
β’ Inform accounts about the Patient Services program, regional payer landscape, and pharmacy channel access.
β’ Facilitate pull-through initiatives for prescribed patients across HUB, specialty pharmacy, and other channels upon securing proper HIPAA consent.
β’ Act as the primary representative of Patient Services platforms within designated healthcare professional practices.
β’ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance patient access to the product.
β’ Increase advocacy within healthcare professional settings and educate staff regarding access and payer approval processes.
β’ Identify barriers to access and emphasize healthcare professional actions that facilitate patient access to therapy.
β’ Provide educational materials regarding prior authorizations, appeals, specialty pharmacy, and access issues.
β’ Coordinate the utilization of patient service platforms when offices choose the HUB or specialty pharmacy route.
β’ Organize annual pharmacy reauthorizations to ensure the timely continuation of therapy.
β’ Work collaboratively with Sales, Market Access, Patient Services, Strategic Accounts, and other partners.
β’ Identify and tackle urgent market development and implementation efforts to eliminate access barriers and enhance adherence.
β’ Develop and implement strategic business plans for key accounts and execute market access initiatives.
β’ Maintain proficiency in national, regional, and local payer landscapes, specialty pharmacy, and utilization management criteria.
β’ Evaluate the impact of payer, PBM, specialty pharmacy, and pharmacy formularies on market access.
β’ Provide field insights that support access and patient/payer support programs.
β’ Anticipate, navigate, and resolve account and patient access challenges with relevant stakeholders.
β’ Exhibit a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

β’ Bachelorβs degree required; a healthcare degree is preferred, including MS, RN, PA, PharmD, or a similar advanced healthcare/scientific degree.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in payer policy and patient access.
β’ More than 5 years of experience in benefit verifications and/or prior authorization requirements or a comparable background in patient access.
β’ Familiarity with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and processes, including Medicare Parts B & D.
β’ Comprehension of specialty markets, HUB/reimbursement services, and patient access programs.
β’ Strong knowledge of specialty product access/reimbursement processes, including Patient Support Services programs.
β’ Robust analytical skills to evaluate market dynamics, competitor activities, and ongoing diabetes monitoring trends.
β’ Capability to collect and interpret data to inform regional strategy, including HUB and patient claims data.
β’ Knowledge of Integrated Delivery Networks/Integrated Health Systems.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft applications and adept at conducting virtual engagements via Microsoft Teams.
β’ Ability to juggle multiple priorities with outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
β’ High level of initiative and self-sufficiency.
β’ Proven track record of success in a cross-functional environment.
β’ Competence in delivering impactful educational presentations.
β’ Strong familiarity with Veeva systems.
β’ Experience in Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Endocrinology is preferred.
β’ Previous launch experience in an Access/Reimbursement role is advantageous.
β’ Background in the biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in product marketing, managed care, field sales, case management, or within a large healthcare practice is beneficial.
