Fiber Splicer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Install, splice, and test both single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables and connectors.

• Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing for comprehensive end-to-end validation.

• Interpret fiber optic schematics, splice plans, and network diagrams effectively.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently while in the field.

• Carry out preventative maintenance and report potential infrastructure concerns.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all tasks completed.

• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project teams to assist in deployments.

• Manage and oversee the inventory of fiber optic tools, testing equipment, and consumables.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and comply with company and industry quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.

• Demonstrated field experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing.

• Strong proficiency with OTDRs, power meters, fusion splicers, and associated equipment.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Flexible schedule – availability for evenings, weekends, or on-call work as required.

• Willingness to undertake extensive nationwide travel (3–4 weeks at a time).
