This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of FHIR standards, guaranteeing precise and efficient data exchange. Ingest healthcare data from source systems into FHIR resources using ETL processes while verifying data quality and integrity.

• Develop and uphold data mapping specifications to convert non-FHIR data formats into FHIR-compliant data.

• Create scalable API endpoints and enhance FHIR solutions. Implement security protocols and access controls to safeguard sensitive healthcare information.

• Adhere to healthcare data privacy regulations, including HIPAA.

• Document and preserve detailed artifacts of FHIR implementations, data transformation workflows, and data flows in tools such as Confluence.

• Keep abreast of the changing FHIR standards.

• Actively engage in program increment (PI) planning.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in healthcare information technology, healthcare data integration, or interoperability.

• More than 5 years of practical experience with FHIR and healthcare data exchange.

• At least 4 years of Java development experience, along with some familiarity with Python and Ruby on Rails.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, ideally with large-scale cloud applications.

• Over 4 years of experience in developing RESTful API endpoints using object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java/Spring).

• Extensive knowledge of healthcare data and integration, including HL7, FHIR, JSON, and XML.

• Familiarity with the development and implementation of concept maps, particularly concerning FHIR resources.

• Experience handling large volumes of clinical data and understanding the challenges associated with data cleansing while identifying methods to enhance conformance and quality.

• Knowledge of healthcare terminology sets (ICD, SNOMED, CPT/HCPCS, LOINC) and interoperability standards (HL7v2, FHIR).

• A collaborative team player with a readiness to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies.

• Proven experience in engaging and negotiating with stakeholders.

• Must reside in the Continental US.

• Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident due to the nature of the work performed.
