This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide comprehensive support for official Government travel, encompassing planning, authorizations, reservations, vouchers, approval workflows, reimbursement processing, reporting, training, and assistance with electronic travel systems.
• Aid employees in planning official travel, estimating costs, securing travel authorizations, compiling documentation, arranging funding, establishing approval paths, and ensuring compliance.
• Facilitate reservations for airfare, lodging, rental cars, itineraries, and cancellations.
• Prepare, review, route, and track travel and local vouchers as well as reimbursement requests.
• Offer both functional and technical support for E2 Solutions and related travel systems.
• Strategize and execute the agency’s transition from E2 Solutions to Go.gov.
• Set up workflows, approval-routing paths, user roles, permissions, and role-based access.
• Conduct virtual training sessions, webinars, remote desk-side assistance, and limited in-person classroom training.
• Clarify Federal Travel Regulation and Agency requirements to users.
• Extract data from travel systems and generate reports on travel, travel cards, management, compliance, and audit support.
• Maintain accurate records, implement quality-control measures, and assist with quarterly, phase-in, and phase-out planning.
• Safeguard Government Furnished Information and Government Furnished Property.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a federal agency travel program.
• Proven experience in processing federal travel authorizations and vouchers.
• Strong familiarity with the Federal Travel Regulation.
• Experience with E2 Solutions or another federal electronic travel system.
• Background in assisting federal employees and approving officials with travel-related issues.
• Experience in providing travel policy guidance, customer support, or user training.
• Experience in creating or maintaining travel workflows and approval-routing paths.
• Capability to interpret travel regulations and apply them to specific situations.
• Experience in reviewing travel expenses, documentation, accounting information, and reimbursement requests.
• Ability to adhere to Agency policies, procedures, privacy standards, and operational protocols.
• Applicants must possess a favorably completed federal background investigation acceptable to FRTIB through reciprocity.
• The minimum acceptable investigation is a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Candidates situated in the Eastern Time Zone are preferred.
• An existing favorably adjudicated federal background investigation eligible for reciprocity is preferred.
• Experience with Go.gov implementation, testing, configuration, training, or operations is a plus.
• Experience supporting international or high-visibility Government travel is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Government travel cards, including Individually Billed Accounts and Centrally Billed Accounts, is preferred.
• Remote work opportunities within the continental United States.
• Full-time schedule from Monday to Friday.
• Occasional travel required for in-person meetings or training.
• Limited in-person classroom training available upon Agency request.
