Posted 4 days ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• The FEA Process Engineer will enhance the business by overseeing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) activities, optimizing analysis processes, and delivering technical engineering support throughout product development, design validation, testing, and manufacturing needs.

• Execute and facilitate FEA tasks utilizing Abaqus and other pertinent CAE tools to evaluate structural performance, fatigue, durability, and product behavior.

• Create, sustain, and refine FEA procedures, templates, workflow standards, reporting tools, and documentation for analysis.

• Assist with non-linear analysis, fatigue analysis, structural analysis, and other advanced simulation requirements across various engineering projects.

• Examine CAD and FEA model outputs, which include geometry preparation, mesh quality, material properties, boundary conditions, load cases, and result accuracy.

• Analyze simulation results and offer clear engineering recommendations to aid design decisions, resolve issues, and enhance products.

• Organize FEA task planning, scheduling, prioritization, and progress tracking to ensure analysis tasks align with project timelines.

• Maintain reporting systems, trackers, and technical records encompassing FEA status, model evaluations, analysis results, and correlation activities.

• Assist in model correlation and validation by comparing simulation results with physical test outcomes, historical data, or engineering expectations.

• Discover opportunities to enhance modeling efficiency, analysis precision, reporting quality, and overall FEA process capabilities.

• Draft technical reports, analysis summaries, result presentations, and engineering documentation for internal evaluations and decision-making.

• Collaborate with design, product, manufacturing, testing, and engineering teams to clarify analysis needs and support practical design outcomes.

• Provide FEA insights into engineering change processes, product improvement initiatives, and technical issue investigations.

• Maintain organized FEA files, model assumptions, simulation results, reports, and supporting technical documentation.

• Remain informed about FEA, CAE, Abaqus, mechanical analysis, product engineering, and best practices in advanced manufacturing.

• Other role-specific duties as they arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Materials Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• At least 4+ years of experience in finite element analysis, CAE engineering, mechanical design analysis, structural analysis, product engineering, or a comparable role.

• Significant hands-on experience with Abaqus or Abaqus/CAE for FEA modeling, simulation setup, analysis, result interpretation, and reporting.

• Highly regarded experience in fatigue analysis, non-linear analysis, structural analysis, durability assessment, or product performance simulation.

• Strong comprehension of mechanical engineering principles, material behavior, load cases, boundary conditions, mesh quality, and simulation assumptions.

• Experience in reviewing CAD and FEA models, identifying modeling challenges, and enhancing analysis accuracy, consistency, or reliability.

• Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar platforms is a plus.

• Capability to interpret complex simulation results and translate findings into actionable engineering recommendations.

• Experience in developing or enhancing FEA processes, analysis procedures, reporting templates, workflow systems, or technical documentation.

• Background in supporting product development, design validation, engineering change processes, testing, or manufacturing issue resolution.

• Experience in automotive, composites, advanced manufacturing, wheels, aerospace, mechanical products, or structural engineering settings is highly regarded.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to investigate technical issues and propose practical solutions.

• High attention to detail when reviewing models, analysis inputs, assumptions, calculations, results, and technical reports.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical findings clearly to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple analysis requests, priorities, documentation, and deadlines.

• Proactive, methodical, and focused on continuous improvement, with a keen interest in enhancing FEA capabilities and engineering outcomes.
