This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Conducts thorough medical histories, virtual assessments, and clinical evaluations concerning obesity and metabolic disorders.
• Creates personalized weight-management treatment strategies using evidence-based practices, including nutrition counseling, activity suggestions, behavioral modifications, pharmacotherapy, and appropriate referrals.
• Offers ongoing virtual longitudinal care, routine follow-ups, and management of chronic diseases related to obesity and metabolic health.
• Orders and analyzes diagnostic tests essential for obesity management and metabolic monitoring.
• Ensures all documentation is completed promptly, accurately, and in accordance with Aurora Health Care policy.
• Adheres to Aurora Health Care’s virtual-care guidelines, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Acts as an advocate and educator for patients, providing supportive counseling, motivation, and shared decision-making to foster sustainable weight-management results.
• Provides empathetic, culturally sensitive care to a diverse adult demographic.
• Engages actively in quality improvement initiatives, service excellence efforts, and outcomes-driven program development.
• Maintains access and productivity standards to guarantee timely and convenient virtual care availability.
• Employs standardized, evidence-based protocols for obesity management.
• Collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary care team that includes dietitians, behavioral health experts, pharmacists, and care coordinators.
• Participates in program meetings, case discussions, and ongoing clinical enhancement activities.

• Delivers compassionate, patient-centered obesity care specifically designed for adult patients in a virtual setting.
• Exhibits a strong comprehension of obesity as a chronic condition, encompassing pharmacotherapy, nutritional science, behavioral medicine, and relevant clinical guidelines.
• Assesses patient outcomes and incorporates current scientific research to enhance practice continuously.
• Communicates effectively via virtual platforms with patients, families, and members of the care team.
• Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and ethical behavior at all times.
• Understands and leverages health system resources to facilitate high-value, coordinated virtual obesity care.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience is required.
• Board certification in family medicine or internal medicine is necessary.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible status in Obesity/Weight Management is mandatory.
• Maintenance of Certification is required according to applicable board standards.
• Experience in virtual care is preferred; familiarity with obesity pharmacotherapy is highly desirable.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to provide age-appropriate care for adults aged 18 years and older.
