Faculty, MS in Data Science Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct graduate-level courses within the MS in Data Science programs, whether in online or residency formats, as assigned.

• Uphold instructional excellence that aligns with course objectives, accreditation standards, and program outcomes.

• Engage in the development of curriculum, assessment processes, and ongoing program enhancements.

• Offer academic advising and mentorship to graduate students.

• Take part in faculty meetings, program initiatives, and university service activities.

• Collaborate with program leadership to enhance student success, retention, and professional readiness.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Dean and Program Director.

• Carry out other responsibilities and adhere to the policies and procedures set forth in UC’s Faculty Handbook.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctoral/PhD Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of online teaching experience at the university level (graduate-level courses).

• Preferably from an institution that is regionally accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

• At least 8 graduate semester credit hours in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and/or Data Science.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation, and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in effectively using Blackboard.

• Proficiency with standard office and mobile applications.

• Expertise in Statistics, Python Programming, R Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and/or Deep Learning.

• The candidate must be based in the US.
