This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Provide expert knowledge in facility-related data management processes and technical initiatives.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of data across facility operations, maintenance, and asset management systems.
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for data management practices, standards, and lifecycle governance related to facilities.
• Develop, uphold, and enforce data governance policies to guarantee compliance with organizational, federal, and regulatory standards.
• Establish and oversee data quality assurance protocols, conducting routine audits, validation checks, and corrective actions to uphold data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Ensure that digital records, data structures, and metadata comply with all relevant compliance and retention requirements.
• Supervise and verify the implementation and ongoing use of facility management systems to guarantee accurate tracking of assets, maintenance activities, and space utilization.
• Support the design, development, configuration, and integration of hardware, software, cloud components, and user interfaces relevant to facility data workflows.
• Collaborate with IT, facility operations, and data teams to integrate data systems, streamline workflows, and ensure comprehensive alignment across platforms.
• Engage in system configuration, documentation updates, version control, and testing, including developing test cases and reviewing results.
• Maintain system functionality by monitoring operational performance, identifying issues, and aiding in the resolution of data-related errors or configuration discrepancies.
• Create dashboards, metrics, and analytical reports using tools like Power BI to support operational decision-making, planning activities, and performance oversight.
• Define, configure, and sustain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with organizational strategy and reporting needs.
• Analyze facility-related data to uncover operational trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimization or cost reduction.
• Participate in facility team meetings focused on asset management, work management, and data-driven initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with facility operations, IT, and data teams to ensure accurate data capture, efficient workflow execution, and system alignment with operational requirements.
• Assist in developing and refining system requirements for facility data, asset tracking, and maintenance workflows, translating stakeholder needs into actionable technical or reporting updates.
• Provide user support and training for facility management teams on data entry protocols, reporting tools, system workflows, and data governance practices.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and standard operating procedures related to data quality processes, system configurations, reporting procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Promote and uphold consistent data entry and governance standards along with routine quality assurance practices across teams.
• Stay updated on best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends related to facility data management, analytics, and system integration.
• Recommend and execute enhancements to improve data accessibility, reporting accuracy, system efficiency, and overall data maturity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Facility Management, Data Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering, data management, or maintenance and operations.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms and data analytics tools.
• Working knowledge of ETL processes, data governance fundamentals, and KPI tracking.
• Proven experience in ensuring reporting requirements are met while maintaining high data quality and reporting accuracy.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for analyzing complex datasets and providing actionable insights.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to train and support facility teams.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements concerning facility data management.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a NASA background investigation.
• Must be able to pass initial and random drug testing.
