This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Engage with customers and potential clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business requirements and document them effectively.
• Suggest new features for FMX’s premier product, articulate their business value, and demonstrate how we will achieve return on investment (ROI).
• Prepare evaluations and recommendations to assist our clients in enhancing their facilities and maintenance operations.
• Conduct walk-through assessments to evaluate the state of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, structures and foundations, interiors, common areas, exterior walls, windows, roofs, site improvements, and more.
• Interview property owners, occupants, key site personnel, and local government officials to gather information about the condition of the subject property.
• Review repair and improvement cost details, certificates of occupancy, maintenance reports and logs, building and fire department inspection reports, and similar documentation to assess the building's condition.
• Document facility and asset information through photographs, digital data collection, and analysis, detailing system conditions and physical deficiencies that need to be addressed.
• Prepare estimated costs for rectifying building deficiencies and document alternative solutions.
• May function as a subject matter expert to assist the customer in cost justifications, equipment selection, and other consulting tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in commercial building evaluation or commercial design with a solid understanding of all building systems, including site work, structural, and building envelope.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to deliver efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers, with the ability to effectively present information both verbally and in written/presentation form to various audience types.
• Proficiency in presenting technical information to non-technical clients and other stakeholders.
• Requires familiarity with financial terminology and principles, with the ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Capable of conducting basic financial analyses.
• Ability to comprehend and execute general instructions in standard situations and solve problems effectively. Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills are necessary.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and all FMX products, along with related partner or add-on technologies.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple overlapping projects.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Experience in Facility Management, Building Engineering, HVAC/Mechanical Technology, Construction, Project Management, or Maintenance Supervision is advantageous.
