This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver hands-on maintenance, repair, and infrastructure support within a specified district or region.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on core building systems such as HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, dock equipment, and building envelope components.
• Travel regularly among assigned facilities to implement maintenance plans, conduct inspections, and perform repairs.
• Serve as the primary technical authority for facility infrastructure systems within the assigned district.
• Identify equipment and system deficiencies, determine suitable corrective measures, and carry out or oversee repairs.
• Perform routine facility inspections to detect risks, compliance issues, and deferred maintenance.
• Manage, dispatch, supervise, and evaluate contractors and service vendors.
• Keep precise CMMS documentation, including work orders, inspections, asset history, and follow-up actions.
• Act as the first point of escalation for facility issues and emergencies, coordinating response efforts to safeguard personnel, assets, and operations.
• Assist in maintaining facility uptime during peak operations, critical incidents, and emergency scenarios.
• Carry out minor mechanical, electrical, or conveyor-related repairs as needed to support operations until specialized resources arrive.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three to five years of experience in facilities maintenance, building engineering, or industrial maintenance.
• Proven experience supporting comprehensive building systems.
• Experience in coordinating contractors and service providers across multiple sites is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, including RTUs, split systems, and exhaust equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, lighting, panels, receptacles, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Understanding of plumbing systems and domestic water infrastructure.
• Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting dock doors and dock levelers.
• Capability to read blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in CMMS platforms and basic computer applications.
