Export Compliance Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review export orders to confirm adherence to U.S. export regulations and company policies prior to shipment.

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain, and customers to address export-related inquiries and ensure smooth order processing.

• Assess products, destinations, and end-use details to ascertain export eligibility and identify potential compliance risks.

• Process and authorize export orders once all necessary documentation and regulatory approvals are received.

• Maintain records for Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs), Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) codes, and product classifications.

• Conduct screenings of customers, destinations, and transactions against relevant restricted-party lists.

• Prepare and examine commercial invoices and export documentation for precision and customs adherence.

• Keep comprehensive compliance records that support internal audits and meet regulatory requirements.

• Elevate complex compliance issues and suggest improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance processes.

• Expand knowledge of export regulations, customs requirements, and international trade through continuous training and collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in export compliance, customs, international logistics, trade compliance, or a related area.

• Familiarity with U.S. export regulations, including EAR, ITAR, customs procedures, or international shipping documentation.

• Strong organizational abilities and remarkable attention to detail.

• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various business systems.

• Interest in utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency and workflows.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and cross-functional business partners.

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
