This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, track, and compose written updates on employer leave law proposals at the federal, state, and municipal levels.
• Create and/or review policies related to employer leave laws to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Offer practical advice to employers on the implementation and application of leave law provisions.
• Provide educational assistance to internal account teams and support sales and marketing efforts for sales professionals.
• Generate content on leave laws for various social media platforms.
• Conduct primary research on leave laws and manage the leave support platform.
• Interact daily with Employee Benefits Compliance Consultants regarding the effects of employee leaves on group health plan benefits.
• Attend meetings with clients and prospects as necessary.
• Develop standard responses to requests for proposals concerning leave support services.
• Create monthly topics for distribution to clients across various content formats.
• Ensure complete and accurate data is maintained in the agency management system.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Juris Doctor is mandatory.
• A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience, particularly in advising clients and developing policies concerning leaves, is required.
• Experience in a law firm is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employee leave laws with a practical and thorough understanding.
• General knowledge of group health plan benefits and the relationship between benefits and employee leave law provisions.
• Familiarity with regulatory bodies and processes that influence employee leave laws.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to convey complex subjects in a straightforward manner.
• Capability to collaborate positively and cohesively across different disciplines and areas of expertise.
