Expert Trial Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Represent insured clients and the organization in defending against bodily injury, property damage, homeowners, and Uninsured/Underinsured motorist claims.

• Serve as first or second-chair in complex trials, arbitrations, and mediations with minimal oversight.

• Draft and present pre-trial and post-trial motions, including motions in limine and summary judgment motions.

• Conduct depositions, examinations under oath, and prepare clients/witnesses—including experts and corporate representatives.

• Formulate and implement litigation strategies, encompassing early case assessments, risk evaluations, and settlement suggestions.

• Act as a mentor and resource for junior attorneys by offering case guidance and strategic support.

• Maintain regular communication with claims professionals and business partners to ensure alignment of litigation strategies with business objectives.

• Provide proactive legal advice regarding daily litigation and regulatory matters impacting the business.

• Keep abreast of changes in Pennsylvania case law, regulations, and industry trends, providing insights to legal leadership and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school (mandatory).

• Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and in good standing (mandatory).

• Over 7 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on bodily injury, property damage, or insurance defense.

• Demonstrated experience as lead or co-lead counsel in trials and complex litigation cases.

• Strong skills in legal research, analysis, and written advocacy.

• Excellent oral advocacy, development of case strategies, and negotiation abilities.

• Proven capability to handle high-volume caseloads and manage multiple priorities under pressure.

• Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (LexisNexis preferred).

• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and willing to travel within northeastern Pennsylvania.
