Expert Compliance Risk Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Offer assistance to internal partners regarding regulatory compliance requirements and consumer credit service matters.

• Conduct gap analyses of procedural documents from business units and functional areas in relation to Global Policies.

• Create action plans in collaboration with business lines to rectify control failures.

• Monitor the timely resolution of regulatory challenges and enhancements to processes.

• Work alongside Legal, Information Security, Governmental Affairs, and various business teams.

• Maintain a solid understanding of the operating processes, strategies, products, and services of business lines.

• Act as a subject-matter expert during regulatory examinations.

• Gather and assess examination data, documents, and requested information.

• Fulfill ad hoc regulatory requests in coordination with the Regulatory Exam Manager within designated SLAs.

• Prepare and deliver presentations for regulatory meetings.

• Cultivate constructive relationships and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

• Report directly to the Compliance Director.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of three years' experience in regulatory risk, compliance, or audit processes.

• Familiarity with federal and state privacy laws and regulations, including FCRA, FACTA, and GLBA, ideally from the perspective of a consumer reporting agency.

• Proficient knowledge of relevant privacy and consumer laws and regulations.

• Capacity to comprehend complex business challenges and formulate practical resolutions.

• Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within team environments.

• Strong skills in research, problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making.

• Keen attention to detail, with the capability to ask pertinent questions and draw connections.
