Experienced Virtual Medical Assistant – Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Overseeing patient scheduling for appointments, surgeries, and procedures.

• Managing prescription refills and coordinating medication distribution.

• Conducting insurance verifications and assisting with medical billing operations.

• Keeping patient medical records current and accurate.

• Assisting with telehealth consultations and virtual care coordination.

• Promoting effective communication among patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Offering general administrative and operational support to designated clinics or providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related health field (registered or underboard).

• Experience in a BPO healthcare account or clinical/hospital environment.

• Familiarity with US healthcare insurance verification processes.

• Previous experience handling HIPAA/PHI or having undergone HIPAA training.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Willing to work a fixed night shift.

• Must have a work-from-home setup with a laptop/PC, reliable internet connection, and headset.

• Experience in managing patient scheduling for healthcare providers (appointments, procedures, or surgeries).

• Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks (ECW), or Athenahealth.

• Background in patient communications via phone, email, SMS, patient portals, and telehealth platforms.
