Experienced Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic guidance and technical oversight to the data engineering team.

• Comprehend and convert business needs into effective data strategies.

• Design, create, and implement standards for data storage, processing, and governance.

• Collaborate closely with enterprise and application architects to ensure data engineering aligns with SDLC standards.

• Develop, document, and sustain a comprehensive view of the data platform architecture.

• Offer both formal and informal training to data engineers and platform engineers.

• Advocate for and present the technical vision to the executive team and business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in big data, database, and enterprise data architecture.

• Proficient in delivery and programming across a subset of Python, Java, and Scala.

• At least 5 years of experience in architecting, developing, launching, and maintaining enterprise data lake platforms.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing cloud-based systems (preferably AWS and/or Databricks).

• Strong SQL abilities to create and maintain database objects and to query/load necessary data while adhering to data governance practices.
