Experienced Remote Interpreter, English to Turkish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Professionally answer calls while adhering to the Interpreter's code of ethics.

• Stay prepared to take notes during calls at all times.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary pertinent to the industry, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements when engaging in video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Turkish."

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
