This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.
• Preparing and organizing medical record documentation and charts to assist healthcare providers.
• Virtually joining the patient room with the physician during consultations to capture and transcribe medical record documentation using electronic medical record systems.
• Thoroughly updating all elements of the patient's medical record as directed by the physician.
• Under the direction of the physician, updating all aspects of the patient's medical record, including subjective and objective information, physical exam details, and any other relevant clinical information.
• Compiling and forwarding all documentation to the physician for review and approval through detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures.
• Collaborating with healthcare personnel to effectively monitor basic lab results and screening processes.
• Tracking the duration of lab tests and following up as needed.
• Ensuring precise documentation in patient records.
• Supporting adherence to hospital and ProScribe policies.
• Understanding and upholding HIPAA regulations.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission standards.
• Comprehending relevant policies for the assigned site.
• Knowledge of ProScribe policies related to the specific role.
• Exhibiting professionalism through compliance with ProScribe’s attendance policies at the designated facility.
• Executing additional clerical duties and tasks to enhance provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is necessary.
• Ability to provide proof of vaccinations as mandated by the specific site.
• Typing speed of 45+ WPM is required.
• Proficiently read, write, and understand English.
• Availability to work two shifts per week (16-24 hours per week) for a minimum of 6 consecutive months.
• Availability to work three shifts per week (32+ hours per week) for a minimum of 12 consecutive months.
• Capability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain confidential patient and client information appropriately.
• Must own a personal computer manufactured within the last 4 years and have access to high-speed internet (minimum bandwidth of 20 Mbps Download / 8 Mbps Upload).
• Residency in a state approved for virtual work with ProScribe is required.
