Experienced MCE Wind Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the lifting operations of equipment at heights exceeding 250’.

• May need to supervise lifting operations after demonstrating proficiency in handling large components and the ability to create, review, adjust, and modify lifting plans.

• Perform safe and effective repairs on all electrical systems of Wind Turbines.

• Operate under correctly executed Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and potentially as an Authorized Person.

• Engage in pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Risk Assessments (RAs), and daily safety meetings.

• Interact with vendors and clients in a professional manner.

• Accurately document all work in various electronic formats and provide feedback to the Safety and Quality department for continuous business improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on product experience on one or more platforms.

• Required direct experience with turbines.

• Capability to read and interpret schematics from various Wind Turbine manufacturers.

• Experience with Main Component Exchange (MCE) is required, along with additional knowledge in lifting operations.

• Must possess specific turbine manufacturer certifications.

• Comprehensive knowledge and skills in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment.

• Ability to identify potential issues and significant faults.

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to safely execute job responsibilities, interpret technical instructions, and communicate effectively with team members and clients. Interpreter services are not available for this role.
