This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Manage intricate new and renewal domestic Construction Casualty accounts.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the team.
• Oversee and enforce underwriting rules and guidelines, as well as insurance laws and regulations, including annual rating rules.
• Create, sustain, and collaborate with Line of Business representatives regarding referrals and other business-related requirements, as needed.
• May offer guidance to junior associates.
• Build and nurture relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) to support business retention and growth.
• Collaborate with customers and distributors (agents & brokers) to assess their insurance needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Foster a sales-oriented culture by serving as a Help Point for agents, brokers, and customers.
• Actively pursue renewal and new account opportunities.
• Conduct thorough opportunity assessments with key distributors to pinpoint growth possibilities.
• Evaluate accounts to align with the organization's appetite while ensuring sound business opportunities.
• Make broker/customer and on-site visits with a well-planned and purposeful approach.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent along with 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing sector.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support sector.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing sector.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support sector.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience handling time-sensitive quotes for new and renewal business.
• Background in a team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
• Technical expertise in Construction Casualty Underwriting (Preferred).
• Established relationships with brokers (retail brokers) (Preferred).
• Sales execution mindset (Preferred).
• Creative problem-solving abilities (Preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Preferred).
