Executive Recruiter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete recruitment process for senior-level Account Executives, including some technical and operational positions.

• Establish and nurture long-term connections with Account Executives and industry stakeholders to maintain a consistent talent pipeline.

• Formulate search strategies that align with workforce planning and project requirements to recruit Account Executives across ESG's commercial, public sector, construction, engineering, and operational teams.

• Identify and engage prospective executive candidates through networking, direct outreach, professional networks, and market mapping.

• Develop extensive market intelligence, talent mapping, and proactive pipelines in key ESG verticals, such as business development, renewable energy, energy efficiency, microgrid solutions, project development, construction management, and engineering.

• Perform structured executive assessments concentrating on leadership capabilities, technical skills, and cultural fit.

• Attend relevant conferences to foster relationships with potential future Account Executives.

• Collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Business Unit Leaders, and Directors to define role specifications, success profiles, and recruitment strategies.

• Provide insights into labor market trends in energy, infrastructure, sustainability, and high-demand technical roles.

• Advise leaders on interview strategies, assessment calibration, and hiring best practices.

• Assist in transitioning ESG from fragmented agency use to a centralized, HR-managed talent acquisition model.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise-wide vendor, fee, and intake standards.

• Keep track of hiring needs, requisition strategies, and performance metrics.

• Uphold the Unsolicited Resume Policy in all external interactions to help ESG avoid unnecessary expenditures and legal risks.

• Provide a high-touch, confidential, and responsive candidate experience that aligns with ESG's people-first culture and its reputation as a Great Place to Work.

• Act as a brand ambassador, promoting ESG's mission to enhance community infrastructure, innovate energy systems, and drive resilience.

• Ensure all executive search processes adhere to ESG policies, documentation standards, and data accuracy requirements.

• Maintain thorough recordkeeping in ATS systems and protect confidentiality in sensitive leadership searches.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or executive search certification is preferred.

• 5 - 10+ years of executive or senior-level recruiting experience; experience in the energy, engineering, infrastructure, sustainability, or construction sectors is strongly preferred.

• Proven track record in building pipelines for professional, technical, engineering, and project management roles in fast-paced environments.

• Strong executive presence and relationship-building skills across all levels of leadership.

• Proficiency in candidate assessment, competency-based interviewing, offer negotiation, and search strategy development.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with executives and candidates.

• Ability to operate with discretion, manage sensitive information, and influence high-stakes decision-making.

• Experience in aiding organizations in transitioning away from heavy reliance on agencies is highly advantageous.
