This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee a portfolio of members while delivering executive advisory services to 25-30 members in Higher Education and/or K-12 sectors.
• Establish strong partnerships with the Gartner Team to enhance member engagement, retention, and growth.
• Engage in all stages of the member lifecycle: from client onboarding and relationship management to engagement, outcome-based service delivery, account reviews, and growth initiatives.
• Accountable for member retention and driving growth through targeted engagement plans.
• Assist clients in developing innovative solutions by evaluating mission-critical priorities.
• Conduct both virtual and onsite strategic consultations and workshops.
• Foster member interaction and peer collaboration utilizing Executive Programs resources and tools.
• Present or facilitate sessions at Gartner events as necessary.
• A Bachelor's degree (Master's or Doctorate preferred).
• Over 15 years of experience as a CIO or a senior IT leader within Higher Education and/or K-12.
• Experience in executive-level positions or in Consulting/Advisory roles that directly support executives in Higher Education and/or K-12.
• Proven track record as a CIO (or equivalent) with extensive business acumen.
• Strong understanding of the IT industry and the role of a CIO in the educational context.
• Familiarity with ERP transformation, operational AI, Learning Management Systems, academic technologies, and student lifecycle CRM.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Business Value of IT and how to align business and IT strategies.
• Proven ability to communicate the Business Value of IT effectively.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the rapid pace of change in IT and education sectors.
• Capability to assess necessary changes within educational organizations and lead IT solution delivery effectively.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
