This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Establish the strategic vision, priorities, operational framework, and performance benchmarks for the CSEE organization across both U.S. and global scientific exchanges.
• Lead the implementation of the scientific exchange excellence strategy across U.S. and global-regional levels.
• Manage the CSEE team and cultivate a high-performing, scalable organization.
• Participate in the V&I GMVC Leadership Team and contribute to overall enterprise strategy, resource allocation, prioritization, and execution.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, talent management, succession planning, performance evaluation, recruitment, retention, and capability enhancement.
• Advocate for CSEE priorities and progress in senior leadership forums.
• Define the enterprise vision and strategic roadmap for achieving scientific exchange excellence.
• Collaborate with medical affairs leaders to translate scientific, medical, and business priorities into scalable field medical capability solutions.
• Advise regional and country leadership on planning, deployment, optimization, and evolution of field medical resources and capabilities.
• Oversee the implementation, governance, and continuous enhancement of field medical standards, processes, training programs, guidance documents, tools, and capability initiatives.
• Ensure that scientific exchange practices are globally relevant, regionally adaptable, and compliant with company policies and regulations.
• Establish and manage quality control measures, KPIs, monitoring processes, audits, and remediation actions.
• Direct the collection, evaluation, and dissemination of field medical insights.
• Collaborate on field medical technology solutions and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational risk management.
• Utilize business and financial insights to prioritize initiatives, manage resources, assess trade-offs, and support sustainable capability delivery.
• Represent the company in engagements with external organizations, industry forums, and benchmarking groups.
• Build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders and promote global best practices.
• PharmD, PhD, or MD with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience in people leadership, including managing leaders, managers, directors, or multi-team organizations.
• Proven ability to lead complex, concurrent, cross-functional initiatives with U.S. and global/regional scope.
• Competence in setting strategy, converting priorities into operational plans, and driving execution across diverse groups, geographies, and stakeholder networks.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including evaluating trade-offs, resource management, and making long-term strategic recommendations.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry ethical guidelines, compliance standards, SOPs, risk assessment, and control frameworks.
• Executive presence coupled with excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders both internally and externally.
• Capability to identify process deficiencies, develop scalable solutions, manage change, and innovate practical approaches.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including national and international travel.
• At least 10 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with a track record of excellence in leading, coaching, or enabling field medical/scientific teams.
• A minimum of five years in direct management of scientists, clinicians, or field-based medical professionals.
• Comprehensive understanding of Medical Affairs, field medical/scientific exchange, scientific training, engagement excellence, and compliant field medical operating practices.
