This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for 6 months, 2 years, and beyond, aimed at meeting federal AI legislation goals by 2030.
• Transform the strategy into defined priorities, milestones, and measurable outcomes across all operational areas.
• Recruit, develop, and oversee high-performing teams and/or vendors in Operations, Program, Policy, and Communications.
• Establish team-specific objectives, performance indicators, and accountability frameworks to guarantee results.
• Enhance and refine the organization’s theory of change as a grassroots movement with a left-of-center focus.
• Manage daily organizational operations across our affiliated c3/c4 entities, ensuring effective team coordination and timely execution of priorities.
• Represent the organization in public forums, including media engagements, partner interactions, and stakeholder meetings.
• Lead and engage in public events, gatherings, and campaign activities to increase visibility and influence.
• Develop and sustain strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations, funders, and coalitions.
• Liaise with the Board of Directors, including preparing necessary materials and participating in board meetings.
• Supervise the organizational budget, resource distribution, and financial sustainability.
• Ensure the organization functions with efficiency, discipline, and focus within a politically time-sensitive environment.
