• Spearhead an enterprise growth strategy that enhances the Network’s market significance, bolsters competitive positioning, and facilitates long-term value creation throughout the portfolio.
• Drive the formulation and management of a multi-year strategic plan that promotes the Network’s mission, encourages new revenue growth, and positions ICBA for enduring competitiveness and relevance within the community banking solution ecosystem.
• Discover, assess, and spearhead new growth opportunities – encompassing investments, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships – guiding decisions from opportunity evaluation through integration planning and execution.
• Align Network objectives with ICBA’s enterprise goals, ensuring subsidiaries function as a cohesive portfolio with suitable governance, shared priorities, and clear strategic alignment.
• Direct portfolio strategy and capital allocation decisions to make certain resources and investments are focused on the highest-value growth opportunities across the Network.
• Supervise the Network’s solution portfolio to ensure offerings address community bank needs while maintaining adequate risk awareness and mitigation throughout each subsidiary and the broader ICBA enterprise.
• Collaborate closely with Association leadership to ensure governance, policies, and oversight structures that foster effective parent-subsidiary relationships and compliance with regulatory, tax, and legal obligations.
• Provide enterprise-level financial oversight across all subsidiary business lines, working alongside subsidiary CEOs and the relevant boards to aid forecasting, monitor performance, and ensure accountability against profitability goals.
• Partner with subsidiary CEOs to evaluate and enhance operational systems, processes, and infrastructure so the Network is prepared to meet financial and business targets.
• Establish frameworks for enterprise performance and accountability structures that promote results at both subsidiary and enterprise levels.
• Offer strategic guidance, executive coaching, and performance oversight to subsidiary leaders, with accountability framed through governance structures and agreed business objectives rather than direct daily management.
• Promote a high-performing leadership culture across the subsidiary portfolio by encouraging accountability, collaboration, innovation, and alignment with enterprise priorities.
• Reinforce ICBA’s values and enterprise expectations across the Network, supporting cultural alignment while respecting the unique operational leadership of each subsidiary.
• Foster constructive relationships with corporate partners, marketing partners, fintechs, and vendors to facilitate strategic alignment, solution development, and business growth throughout the Network.
• Represent the Network with ICBA’s Board and senior stakeholders, articulating strategy, results, and key risks with clarity and confidence.
• Act as an ambassador for community banking, enhancing the Network’s credibility and influence within the broader financial services landscape.
• Established leadership experience within a bank or bank holding company and a proven understanding of the business, regulatory, and market conditions impacting community banks today.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• Over 15 years of senior leadership experience, with a proven track record overseeing multi-entity or multi-division businesses in banking, financial services, fintech, or a related sector.
• Demonstrated experience providing enterprise-level financial oversight across various business lines, including forecasting, performance monitoring, and accountability for growth and profitability.
• Executive-level negotiation abilities in partnerships and strategic agreements.
• In-depth knowledge of the community banking and fintech partnership landscape, including the competitive, regulatory, and strategic dynamics influencing community bank growth and profitability.
• A solid history of go-to-market and commercialization success is advantageous, involving product positioning, pricing strategy, channel partnerships, and revenue acceleration.
• Experience supervising M&A activities from opportunity identification and due diligence to valuation, negotiation, integration planning, and performance oversight is a plus.
• Proficiency in developing and managing fintech, vendor, and strategic partner relationships focused on scalable, performance-driven outcomes.
• Proven capability to guide, influence, and support senior executives across diverse business functions through strategic leadership, governance, and alignment with enterprise objectives.
