This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee, maintain, and enhance Microsoft Exchange Online environments for both clients and internal teams.
• Monitor system performance, proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to guarantee high availability and reliability.
• Manage user accounts, mailboxes, groups, permissions, and policies within the Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
• Design and implement mail flow rules, transport rules, and security controls to safeguard against threats such as phishing, spam, and data leakage.
• Assist in migrating on-premises Exchange environments to Exchange Online, covering planning, execution, and post-migration support.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Exchange Online with other cloud services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.) and support unified communications efforts.
• Maintain detailed documentation on configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for end users, resolving escalated issues related to email delivery, calendar synchronization, mobile integration, and Outlook connectivity.
• Support compliance initiatives by configuring retention policies, legal holds, auditing, and eDiscovery features.
• Stay updated on Microsoft Exchange Online enhancements, new features, and best practices, and recommend improvements as necessary.
• Participate in security monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery planning for Exchange Online and associated services.
• Train and mentor junior IT staff on Exchange Online administration and troubleshooting.
• Support internal Vamonos IT initiatives and operations as required.
• Contribute to the Vamonos IT business development initiatives and team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange Server environments.
• Strong grasp of Microsoft 365 services, PowerShell scripting, and email security protocols.
• Familiarity with migration tools and processes (e.g., hybrid deployments, cutover/staged migrations).
• Proficient in troubleshooting email delivery issues, mail flow, and authentication methods.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to clarify technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and uphold a high standard of professionalism under pressure.
