EVSE Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Commission and configure AC and Rapid DC EV chargers at client locations.

• Conduct initial setup, testing, and validation to ensure adherence to industry standards.

• Execute routine and preventative maintenance to optimize uptime and performance.

• Identify and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.

• Perform diagnostic testing, firmware updates, and calibration of EV chargers.

• Replace defective components or entire units in line with manufacturer guidelines.

• Collaborate closely with Service Coordination and Operations teams to ensure precise job reporting and prompt follow-up.

• Work alongside project and installation teams to facilitate smooth deployment of charging infrastructure.

• Offer on-site technical support and basic user assistance to clients.

• Keep tools, equipment, and company assets in optimal working condition.

• Diligently document all service activities within the service management system.

• Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and electrical standards.

• Engage in ongoing safety training and certification programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Essential **

• Level 3 Electro-technical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent).

• 2–5 years of practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or repair.

• Experience in SLA-driven work environments.

• Familiarity with testing equipment such as multimeters and voltage testers.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for diagnosing complex faults.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Capability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

• Full UK driving license.

• **Desirable **

• Experience in EV charging, renewable energy, or power electronics.

• EV charging certifications or training specific to manufacturers.

• Familiarity with Rapid DC, Ultra, or HPC chargers.

• Skill in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.

• Understanding of both analogue and digital electronics.

• Strong awareness of site health & safety regulations.
