This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the company's daily operational rhythm, encompassing planning, reviews, metrics, and follow-ups, ensuring progress without needing prompts.
• Act on behalf of the COO in operations during their absence, maintaining decisions and momentum throughout to prevent any delays.
• Function as the vital link between departments, ensuring that commitments made in one area are fulfilled across all relevant sectors.
• Hold department heads accountable for their promises, pursue clarity, directly address obstacles, and foster the constructive tension necessary for decision-making.
• Transform vaguely defined challenges into organized plans with designated owners and clear timelines.
• Develop and enhance the systems, workflows, and automation that underpin the company's operations, leveraging AI as a key tool.
• Provide the COO and executive team with ready-to-act analyses and straightforward answers, clearly identifying obstacles and outlining options.
• Determine priorities amidst urgent matters and keep the organization aligned on the few critical initiatives that truly drive the business forward.
• A demonstrated senior operator—whether in the role of Director or Senior Director of Operations or Business Operations, Chief of Staff, or Deputy COO—with genuine decision-making authority and a history of taking ownership of outcomes rather than merely coordinating others' tasks.
• Proven experience in scaling operations in a dynamic, growing environment, establishing structure where little previously existed.
• A proactive individual who adapts quickly, asks insightful questions, independently seeks answers, and begins contributing without needing extensive training or guidance.
• Thrives in uncertain situations, energized by vaguely defined challenges and capable of navigating complex business scenarios before they are fully outlined.
• Encourages accountability among senior leaders, prepared to create necessary friction to achieve clarity and facilitate decisions.
• A direct, organized, and decision-oriented communicator who identifies obstacles and eliminates unnecessary details.
• A genuinely systems-oriented thinker, with active and practical knowledge of AI and automation as operational advantages.
