This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of medium-sized events that align with demand generation and category goals.

• Assess and suggest events based on return on investment (ROI), audience relevance, and the competitive environment.

• Collaborate with Category Marketing, Creative, Sales, and Account Management teams to establish objectives, messaging, branding, and staffing requirements.

• Oversee the complete execution of tradeshows and activations, including booth design, fabrication, audiovisual elements, shipping, and on-site logistics.

• Handle vendor and agency management: sourcing, negotiation, contracts, and ensuring adherence to brand standards.

• Support the sales team during peak times on the event floor and engage in discussions about Whatnot and live shopping effectively.

• Create and maintain comprehensive Run of Show documentation and lead on-site execution.

• Convert creative concepts into actionable production plans.

• Manage production timelines, sequencing, and logistics from planning through to completion.

• Coordinate on-site activities, including staff scheduling, briefings, and training sessions.

• Address technical and operational challenges in real-time.

• Manage and enhance the “Booth-in-a-Box” logistics and checkout procedures.

• Develop and oversee inventory systems for event materials, promotional items, and seller kits.

• Lead the ordering, shipping, and fulfillment processes for all in-person events.

• Create processes that can be repeated to increase efficiency and consistency.

• Develop and manage budgets for medium-sized events.

• Monitor estimates against actuals and proactively address any discrepancies.

• Recognize risks early and modify scope, vendors, or plans as necessary.

• Act as the logistics and production lead for medium-sized events while providing support for larger scale events.


⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Event Production: 4-7 years of experience in tradeshow logistics, vendor management, and on-site execution.

• Strategic and Tactical Mindset: Ability to understand both the rationale behind events and the methodology for executing them.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to navigate uncertainty and independently resolve issues.

• Versatile Collaboration: Ability to work across different functions and adapt based on the unique needs of each event.

• Experimental Marketing Skills: Naturally empathize with attendees, crafting experiences that resonate and enhance brand perception.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of event technologies and audiovisual setups; capable of troubleshooting independently (OBS experience is a plus).

• Operational Excellence: Highly organized, detail-focused, and adept at managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• System Development: Experience in creating scalable systems (inventory, logistics, playbooks) from inception.

• Willingness to Travel: This role requires attendance at numerous in-person events throughout the year, both domestically and internationally (a valid passport is necessary).

• Budget Management: Comfortable overseeing budgets, making trade-offs, and assessing ROI.
