This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• The Events Associate will be tasked with overseeing and executing a comprehensive array of resources, products, in-person events, and virtual events that advance The Nature Conservancy's mission.
• This role operates within the Marketing department, focusing on the creation and delivery of engaging events that connect our donors and partners with the important work we undertake at The Nature Conservancy in Hawaii.
• Act as the team lead for assigned projects and manage responsibilities accordingly.
• Collaborate with various team members, external vendors, and other third-party entities.
• Hold accountability for achieving project goals and objectives.
• The position requires 25% travel for business meetings, events, trainings, and/or team retreats.
• A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Demonstrated experience in building and managing client/customer relationships in Hawai'i.
• Proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading.
• Proven ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience is preferred, with a particular emphasis on familiarity with Hawai’i.
• Multi-lingual abilities are appreciated.
• Experience in leading team efforts in collaboration with internal and/or external partners.
• Experience in applying marketing principles to projects and programs.
• Skills in creatively conceiving and writing content that makes technical or scientific information accessible to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in budget management.
• Practical knowledge of current and emerging trends relevant to the field.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively.
• Capability to provide constructive feedback and direct work to align with quality and brand standards.
• Familiarity with digital platforms, content management systems, email marketing tools, and analytics tools.
• Experience in planning and executing live and/or virtual events.
• A solid understanding of current trends and best practices in live and/or virtual event production.
• A strong passion (or at least significant interest) in conservation.
