• Update and manage the NatCon prospects list; perform market research to discover new opportunities for exhibitors and sponsorships; assist in revising the NatCon sponsorship prospectus; support outreach initiatives including cold calls and follow-up emails; monitor outreach activities and maintain records in the CRM and internal systems.
• Aid registered exhibitors in updating their company details, logos, and profiles within MapYourShow (the event management platform); maintain and revise records in MapYourShow; collaborate with marketing/design to gather assets and manage deadlines.
• Oversee and address inquiries through shared inboxes and the department's phone line promptly.
• Assist in tracking sales progress and generating basic reports; help ensure data consistency across CRM, event platforms, and internal systems.
• Provide logistical support for the Board Retreat and Annual Conference, which includes reviewing food and beverage orders, coordinating with a Destination Management Company (DMC) for off-site events, marking up floor plans, and creating forms in Asana.
• Offer on-site assistance for conference events, if located in Washington D.C., as needed.
• Current student who has completed at least two full-time years of undergraduate study or a recent graduate (within the last six months) from an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Previous experience in hospitality or events is preferred.
• Interest or experience in exhibits, sponsorships, and/or trade shows.
• Familiarity with Asana for project management is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
• All interns receive compensation of $20/hour.
• Remote work: We encourage applications from all US time zones, understanding that some mandatory meetings and training sessions may take place in US Eastern Time.
