📋 Description

• Set and lead the strategic vision for Ren’s comprehensive events portfolio.

• Take ownership of DGS from strategic planning through to post-event evaluation.

• Create and manage the DGS content agenda — encompassing session structure, speaker selection and acquisition, topic strategy, and the overarching intellectual theme of the event.

• Actively influence and advocate for a seamless end-to-end attendee experience at DGS.

• Oversee the strategy and execution of the iPhi User Group.

• Direct the strategy and implementation for select Ren-owned relationship programs.

• Manage the strategy and execution of Ren’s conference participation portfolio — including sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and hosted activations.

• Formulate and implement a sponsorship and registration revenue strategy for DGS.

• Handle budget creation, allocation, and reconciliation across the events portfolio.

• Establish and monitor performance metrics throughout the portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in event strategy, experiential marketing, or program leadership, demonstrating complete ownership of complex, high-profile events such as flagship conferences or summits.

• Proven track record in managing event content strategy — including session design, speaker acquisition, and agenda structure — for multi-session or multi-track events. Capable of shaping the intellectual narrative of an event with strategic intent and creative execution.

• Demonstrated ability to create and deliver unique attendee experiences — from journey mapping and environment design to on-site interactions and post-event follow-up. Brings a creative perspective and the necessary executional follow-through to bring it to life.

• Hands-on experience in developing and implementing event sponsorship programs and/or registration revenue strategies, including pipeline development, package structuring, and closing deals. Knowledgeable in managing to a net expense target rather than a gross budget.

• Experience overseeing multi-million-dollar event budgets, including cost management, reconciliation, and performance evaluation. Comfortable with both the cost and revenue aspects of event financial management.

• Proven ability to engage confidently with senior internal stakeholders and prominent external figures — including speakers, sponsors, and executive-level guests. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective both in a planning environment and on the event floor.

• History of leading and developing event teams, with a proven record of setting high standards, providing valuable development support, and holding team members accountable for consistent performance.

• Established capability to build consensus across Marketing, Sales, Product, and senior leadership on complex, multi-stakeholder programs. Manages competing priorities and varying perspectives with clarity and composure.

• Proficient in event management and marketing platforms (e.g., Bizzabo, Cvent, Splash, or similar) and familiar with CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Experience with AI-assisted planning, personalization, or measurement tools is preferred.

• Familiarity with AI productivity and event planning tools. Eager to explore and implement emerging technologies that enhance event quality, efficiency, and measurement.

• Experience in fintech, wealth management, financial services, or philanthropy is advantageous. Familiarity with the DAF, donor-advised giving, or UHNW advisory landscape is strongly preferred.

• CMP, CEM, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or a related field is required.
