This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the comprehensive planning and execution for Nectar's event calendar, including customer dinners, executive roundtables, happy hours, webinars, and conference sponsorships/booths.

• Oversee budgets, vendors, venues, and logistics, while establishing repeatable processes to ensure smooth scalability of events as the company expands.

• Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to develop event strategies that drive pipeline growth and strengthen relationships with existing clients.

• Monitor and report on event ROI, including attendance, pipeline impact, and customer sentiment, utilizing this data to refine the event calendar over time.

• Represent Nectar at industry conferences and manage on-site logistics, staffing, and sponsor deliverables.

• Design and implement Nectar's inaugural customer/industry community program, which may include a Slack or Discord community, ambassador program, or customer council.

• Develop a content and engagement schedule to keep the community vibrant, featuring AMAs, office hours, member highlights, and peer-to-peer discussions.

• Act as the main point of contact for community members, fostering genuine relationships with key customers and industry influencers.

• Identify and nurture community advocates who can assist with case studies, referrals, and organic growth through word-of-mouth.

• Relay community insights and feedback to product, marketing, and customer success teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in event marketing, community management, or a combination of both, preferably within a B2B SaaS or martech environment.

• Proven experience in planning and executing events from inception to post-event evaluation.

• Experience in building or expanding an online or in-person community from the ground up.

• Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy in an early-stage setting where processes are still being developed — enthusiasm for creating these processes is essential.

• Strong project management abilities with a knack for managing multiple events and workflows simultaneously without overlooking details.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a genuine passion for connecting with others.

• Willingness to travel for events and conferences (approximately 20–30%).
