EV Charging Station Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new charging locations in close partnership with the Network Development and Site Design teams, including assessments of commercial viability and business case analysis.

• Negotiate and finalize site agreements and commercial terms with landowners, partners, and municipalities, adhering to Allego’s investment and return criteria.

• Evaluate the deployment concept of charging locations and assess the overall project feasibility, taking into account technical, regulatory, grid, and commercial limitations.

• Plan and oversee all project phases from start to finish: design, permitting, procurement, grid connection, construction, installation, and commissioning.

• Coordinate and direct all internal and external stakeholders, including landowners, business partners, grid operators, engineering firms, installation partners, hardware suppliers, and local authorities.

• Serve as the primary point of accountability for the rollout of new sites, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, costs, and deliverables.

• Supervise and manage external engineering and installation partners, ensuring compliance with agreed timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.

• Proactively identify project risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure seamless delivery.

• Ensure adherence to Allego’s quality, safety, and technical standards throughout the entire installation and commissioning process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Electrical) Engineering.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

• Relevant professional experience in the energy sector, ideally within the EV-charging industry.

• Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to plan and coordinate multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.

• Proficient in both Italian and English to facilitate communication with international teams.

• Willingness to travel regularly (approximately once per week).
