This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the strategic development and implementation of licensing for European clients while nurturing relationships with these customers.
• Create and sustain effective business connections with international working groups and European nuclear regulators as the primary point of contact.
• Offer expert knowledge regarding international nuclear rules and regulations as necessary.
• Provide functional leadership to licensing managers, licensing engineers, and licensing project managers.
• Track relevant nuclear regulations and ensure that GEH / GNF effectively manage any changes.
• Maintain documentation and correspondence records related to nuclear licensing.
• Manage periodic and responsive nuclear regulatory inspections and audits.
• Lead the resolution of issues pertaining to nuclear licensing and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate the efforts and interactions of the Regulatory Affairs organization with other GEH / GNF teams.
• Facilitate coordination with industry organizations (e.g., IAEA, WNA).
• Oversee the Licensing budget.
• Enforce and ensure adherence to internal GEH Quality Program requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited university, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in nuclear licensing, design, and operations.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership or management capacity with considerable scope and responsibility.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
• Capability and readiness to obtain and maintain a site security clearance, including necessary background checks and an SGI/safeguards clearance.
• Experience collaborating with regulatory and governmental agencies.
• Familiarity with nuclear regulations, particularly in European countries.
• Demonstrates behaviors aligned with a robust Nuclear Safety Culture (i.e., respectful work environment and a supportive atmosphere for raising concerns).
• Evaluates the potential impacts of the regulatory environment on business and customers.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, including facilitation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with senior executives.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Clear and credible communicator regarding technical matters.
• Proficient in program and project management.
• Proficient with PC applications.
• Occasional travel required.
