EU Telemedicine Doctor, Weight Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Utilize our asynchronous online platform to assess patient consultations and decide if treatment should be prescribed.

• Prescribe treatment in accordance with the clinical protocols established by HeliosX and, where applicable, the local regulations of your country of registration.

• Solicit additional information from patients when necessary to ensure safe prescribing and document concise notes on patient records in English as required.

• Complete your individual tasks efficiently and in line with the assigned rota, collaborating with the team to meet customer demand.

• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

• Stay informed about prescribing requirements to uphold Independent Prescriber rights.

• Keep abreast of any required independent training to ensure clinical competency in your prescribing areas.

• Collaborate closely with our Customer Support team, including German-speaking colleagues, to offer patient support via email, phone call, or video consultation.

• If necessary, provide correspondence to other healthcare professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered (colegiado) with a Colegio Oficial de Médicos in your region of residence, possessing active Independent Prescriber rights.

• Completed specialist training (specialty training finished, no longer in training) in one of the following fields: Endocrinology and Nutrition, Internal Medicine, or Family and Community Medicine.

• Proficient in written and spoken English (essential). Proficiency in written and spoken German is a significant advantage.

• Experience in managing obesity and type 2 diabetes. Familiarity with prescribing GLP-1 medications is a notable advantage.

• Experience in a digital health or telemedicine environment, with a focus on prescribing according to established pathways or protocols.

• Individual professional indemnity covering online asynchronous prescribing in the EU, or willingness to enroll in the HeliosX scheme.

• Experience with customer service tools like Zendesk, computer literacy, and exceptional attention to detail.
