This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the ETL Developer providing sustainment services for the VA, overseeing the migration of large-scale systems to the cloud, and delivering advanced analytics, including capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Oversee the technical execution of all tasks carried out by the ETL Developers integrated into Scrum Teams.
• Create robust ETL processes that enable seamless data integration from various sources into applications or the data warehouse.
• Collaborate across workstreams to guarantee that Scrum teams are adequately staffed with the required resources.
• Conduct peer reviews of code developed by other ETL Developers.
• Ensure all team members are educated on best practices and common coding standards, fostering knowledge sharing within the team.
• Execute a comprehensive set of data integrity operations/checks throughout the ETL process, including quality control, unit testing, functional testing, and system testing.
• Confirm that SQL validation scripts are executed daily to assess the status and data integrity of the overnight ETL jobs.
• Monitor the efficiency and performance of all automated processes to ensure they operate within established timelines/service levels and produce high-quality, valid reports with traceability of the data used to generate each report.
• Develop and validate ETL workflows, storing the resulting ETL packages in GitHub.
• Track any significant deviations from target thresholds regarding availability, server load, disk I/O rates, etc., through both manual and automated methods (e.g., triggers on sensing/logging systems).
• Ensure that solutions are properly configured, accessible, and available for users.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, PowerApps, and Power BI.
• Skilled in Microsoft SSIS ETL Tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Adaptable and flexible to meet the diverse needs and expectations of various customer groups.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
• Outcome-oriented mindset focused on delivering value to end users supported by measurable, data-driven results.
